Mark Graham is widely regarded as one of New Zealand’s greatest rugby league players. He represented the Kiwis between 1977 and 1988, earning 29 Test caps and captaining the side with distinction. A powerful and skillful second-row forward, Graham was known for his fierce tackling and strong ball-carrying, and was one of the most feared opponents of the other test playing nations. In 1996 he was inducted into the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame, and then a decade later he was named New Zealand’s Rugby League Player of the Century, confirming his status as one of the game’s all-time greats.
