Kel Coslett was a tough-tackling Welsh rugby union convert, known for his rugged and dynamic play and ability to cover multiple positions. Joining the club in 1962, Coslett quickly made an impact with his blistering pace and reliable goal-kicking. He was instrumental in many of St Helens’ triumphs during the 60s and 70s, including winning the Lance Todd Trophy as man of the match in the 16-13 victory over Leeds in the 1972 Challenge Cup final. Coslett is one of a select group of Welshmen to have reached the milestone of 2,000 points in their rugby league career, scoring over 3,000 for the Saints.
