Steele Retchless was a key figure for London Broncos during the late 1990s and early 2000s, earning a reputation as one of the club’s most committed and hard-working players. The Australian forward joined in 1998 and quickly became a cornerstone of the team with his relentless defence, regularly topping the tackle count. He played a crucial role in London’s run to their first ever Challenge Cup final in 1999, scoring an unforgettable last-minute match-winning try in their semi final against Castleford.
