Wally Lewis was one of Australia’s greatest rugby league players, earning 34 caps for the Kangaroos between 1981 and 1991. Known as “The King,” he was a dominant five-eighth with exceptional vision, leadership, and skill. A complete footballer, Lewis captained Australia in 23 consecutive Tests, leading the team to Ashes victories over Great Britain and World Cup success in 1988. He was instrumental in the Kangaroos’ 1986 undefeated tour of Great Britain and France. Capable of providing magical passes for try-assists, he also had the ability to do it all on his own with his strong running game if the situation demanded.
