Jack Miller enjoyed a 20-year career with Warrington between 1926 and 1946, racking up an impressive 526 appearances. Nicknamed ‘Cod’ due to his job as a fishmonger, Miller was a no-nonsense prop or second row forward who was an integral member of Warrington’s pack. A rugged tackler with a bowling ball running style, his influence helped the club secure three Lancashire Cup final victories in 1929, 1932 and 1937. Miller’s resilience and longevity enabled him to maintain a consistently high level of performance over two decades, and his dominance over such a long period secured him a place in Warrington’s Hall of Fame.
