Harry Wilkinson was a rugged and resilient forward for Wakefield Trinity during the 1930s and 1940s. Over the course of his career, Wilkinson played in numerous finals for Wakefield, including an appearance at prop in the club’s nail-biting 13-12 victory over Wigan in the 1946 Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium. His form warranted representative honours for both Yorkshire and England during the 1940s, and his longevity saw him claim Trinity’s record for most appearances, with 618 games in a career spanning nineteen seasons from 1930-49.
