Malcolm Reilly

Malcolm Reilly is one of the game’s most respected players – a super-fit loose forward with a reputation as a genuine hard-man. He made a try-scoring debut against Hunslet in 1967, and quickly became an integral part of the successful Castleford team of the late 60s. After a 4-year spell playing in Australia for Manly, Reilly returned to Castleford in the mid 70s where he took on the role of player-coach. He led the club to further Yorkshire Cup and Floodlit Trophy finals before his playing career started to wind down in the 1980s. He was inaugurated into the British Rugby League Hall of Fame in 2014.
