Neil Fox made his first team debut for Wakefield Trinity at the tender age of 16 years and 3 months in 1956. He is synonymous with Wakefield’s golden period of success in the 1960s, helping the club to numerous trophies, including 2 Championship titles. He appeared in 3 Challenge Cup finals at Wembley, and was awarded the Lance Todd Trophy for a man-of-the-match performance in the 1962 final. A powerful goal-kicking centre, Fox set the all-time points scoring record for the British game – a feat that never looks in danger of being equalled – and was one of the inaugural inductees to the RFL Hall of Fame.
